Our Stack, and Why

We default to React and Next.js on the frontend because they give us fast page loads, good SEO characteristics out of the box, and a large ecosystem of well-maintained libraries. On the backend, we choose between Node.js and Laravel based on the project — Node when the team wants a single JavaScript codebase end-to-end, Laravel when the project needs a mature, batteries-included framework with strong conventions. We avoid reaching for a new framework just because it's trending; the stack should serve the project, not the other way around.

How Engagements Typically Run

Most projects start with a scoping conversation to define what's being built and what "done" looks like, followed by an initial estimate. From there, work ships in small, reviewable increments rather than one long build-and-reveal cycle, so you can see and test progress as it happens. Timelines vary a lot by scope — a focused MVP might take a few weeks, while a larger platform takes longer — so we scope each project individually rather than quoting a fixed number up front.
